- ➤ Lake Country Rotary’s 35th annual Yule Feed Families drive exceeded its 2025 goal by raising $65,290—28% more than in 2024—for five local food pantries, marking the fourth-highest total since the drive began in 1991. The campaign ran from near Thanksgiving until Dec. 31. The Waukesha Freeman

- ➤ Waukesha is developing an Artscape and Placemaking Plan for the Riverwalk corridor along the Fox River - the plan will add public art, creative lighting, and gathering spaces while city officials seek community feedback for future improvements. The Waukesha Freeman
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Hamilton High School sophomore Bhadra Nidhish Ragitha won gold in the 2025 Nextgen Interarts Foundation XC Creative Art Contest (a national art competition). Her win brought recognition to her artwork and pride to her school. The Waukesha Freeman
- ➤ Learning in Retirement offers classes, hikes, and local trips to help retirees stay engaged and fight loneliness (classes cost around $20 and are led by volunteers) across the county, with spring and fall sessions and a growing online program. The Waukesha Freeman
