- ➤ SHARP Literacy is hosting its fifth annual Unwrapped Waukesha fundraiser on Sunday, Feb. 22 from 1-4 p.m. at The Carriage House at Lac La Belle in Oconomowoc to support experimental STEAM learning for elementary students across Waukesha County. FOX6
- ➤ Sen. Julian Bradley welcomed Muskego High School junior Evan Turk to the State Capitol as a participant in the competitive 2026 Senate Scholar Program. The weeklong program gave him an insider’s view of state government and introduced him to legislative and executive officials. The Waukesha Freeman

- ➤ A state investigation is underway after TJ Hale closed its Menomonee Falls facility on Feb. 9, leaving 64 workers jobless. Officials are reviewing if the company met the 60-day notice rule while former employee Blayne Struve and others seek answers + fair treatment after years of service. TMJ-4
- ➤ Vernon Village Board will consider a resolution at 6 p.m. Thursday at Village Hall opposing the proposed Breck Sports Complex in Big Bend, as residents cite concerns about traffic + noise and declining property values. The Waukesha Freeman
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Elmbrook 12UA boys hockey team earned a spot at the state tournament in Hudson after a double-overtime shootout produced an underdog win. The team will leave on March 6 with a promised charter bus from coach Craig Johnson (families have also launched a GoFundMe to help cover costs). TMJ-4
