  • Area pickleball players will compete at the inaugural Scleroderma Awareness Open on March 28 at Pickleball Kingdom in Menomonee Falls (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.), where funds raised will support research and patient services for scleroderma.  The Waukesha Freeman

  • Mayor’s Restaurant in downtown Waukesha has added four new ice cream drinks—Brandy Alexander, Pink Squirrel, Grasshopper, and Golden Cadillac—while a new Starbucks recently opened on Sunset Drive and Bo’s Schnitzelbunker now offers indoor seating at 145 Park Ave. This week brings fresh dining options for local residents.  The Waukesha Freeman

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Goddard School (Brookfield) is partnering with Bernie’s Book Bank to collect 25,000 books for Milwaukee-area children ages 0-12; enrolled families can donate new and gently used books through Friday (marking its 12th year with over 300,000 donated books).  The Waukesha Freeman

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Waukesha Plan Commission will review Wednesday final site plans for a new UW Credit Union branch at Silvernail Road, a replacement industrial building for Superior Crane at Wilmont Drive, and a 14,000 sqft Montessori School expansion along University Drive.
