Good morning, Waukesha.

Today, Friends With Food food pantry led by Waukesha native Rochelle Gamauf serves about 400 families each week and distributed more than one million pounds of food last year to combat growing food insecurity.

The program does not receive state or government funding — which means it remains open to anyone in need despite recent cuts to food aid programs.

Waukesha firefighters responded to a garage fire late Monday night at a two-story duplex on Kensington Drive and contained the flames to the attached garage so residents could safely re-enter the building — the fire’s cause remains under investigation.
