EDUCATION NEWS

  • Hartland-Lakeside School Board approved a plan to leave its long-standing bus consortium when the contract expires in 2028 and to offer a pay-to-ride option for students living within 2 miles. The move increases flexibility despite a potential cost increase (around $200,000) if the district runs the buses on its own.  The Waukesha Freeman

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Gov Tony Evers signed Act 103 on Thursday to require insurers to cover supplemental and diagnostic breast exams for women at higher risk (known as Gail’s Law) in Delafield. The law also extends coverage to those with dense breast tissue, affecting nearly 40% of women.  The Waukesha Freeman
