BUSINESS NEWS

  • A Brookfield Square kiosk that sold cannabis products and psychedelic mushrooms removed the mushrooms at the mall’s request even though officials said they were legal. Ethereal Gold Dispensary from Waukesha replaced the mushrooms with a muscle roll-on, sleep capsules and gummies—Brookfield Ald. Mike Hallquist is now working on a city ordinance to require cannabinoid products be sold only from physical storefronts.  FOX6

CRIME NEWS

  • A 27-year-old Milwaukee woman, Miranda Toliver, was arrested in Butler on March 14 after exposing herself and urinating in the back of a police squad—she also resisted arrest after officers responded to reports of her flipping people off and stumbling in the street.  FOX6
  • A 41-year-old Brookfield woman, Jennifer Vaughn, is accused of slashing tires on three vehicles and threatening to set a fire at TownePlace Suites on March 16—officers reported she resisted arrest by biting an officer and she made her initial court appearance on March 19 with a $500 cash bond.  FOX6

EDUCATION NEWS

  • A local woman in Pewaukee is opening a new charter school called Autumn Hill Academy that she says will reduce bullying and boost test scores. FOX6 previewed the academy — ahead of its open house — and reported that the school will soon welcome students.  FOX6
