- ➤ The Waukesha School District mourned longtime educator Michelle Tranchita, who died on March 8 after nearly 25 years of service and left a wish for donations to help fund a snack program at Hadfield Elementary—where 80% of the students live in poverty. - ➤ Voters will decide Arrowhead Union High School’s future in April by weighing a $136 million proposal to renovate the north campus and level the older building after a previous $261 million plan was rejected. Superintendent Conrad Farner said the new measure is aimed at keeping families from choosing other districts — a lawsuit alleging hidden costs will not stop the referendum from appearing on the ballot.
