Good morning, Waukesha.
🏘️ Community
A Waukesha family reported receiving a political mailer that mimicked a newspaper—misusing their church’s name and sparking anger over its divisive message.
Several dioceses in Wisconsin have denounced the mailer and clarified that it is not an official church publication.
💼 Business
Delafield’s local Applebee’s closed on March 25 after its tenant was evicted for unpaid rent—employees were sent home without warning.
Mayor Tim Aicher said he learned of the eviction from a police memo and is seeking more details from the property owner.
📰 Lifestyle
TMJ4’s Senior Director of Sales Anthony Arbucias reviewed The Phoenix in Hartland and rated it as a top fish fry spot offering cod, walleye, bluegill and shrimp prepared with classic Wisconsin sides—crispy fries, baked potato, potato pancakes, coleslaw, salad and rye bread.
The review noted that the family-owned restaurant also serves a full menu and hosts a monthly Prime Rib Night to give diners more choice.
