BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ INNIO has proposed an 83,000 sqft expansion at its 600,000 sqft facility (1101 W. St. Paul Ave) to add a new engine line and test center. The Plan Commission gave favorable feedback today and INNIO will submit preliminary plans within two weeks. The Waukesha Freeman
- ➤ Eagle lawn care specialist Francisco Chavez of C and L Lawn Services said rising natural gas costs and global tensions have driven up fertilizer prices as he tends lawns, and he is now using Milorganite made in Wisconsin from treated wastewater to ease costs without raising prices for customers. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Waukesha School District announced the Class of 2026 graduation schedule for ceremonies set in June. East High will host its ceremony (June 11 at 6:00 p.m.), while West, North, South high schools and eAchieve Academy will hold theirs (June 13 at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.). Waukesha Times
- ➤ Waukesha Public Schools will start its summer school program on Monday, June 15, and families can learn more about courses online. Waukesha Times
- ➤ The Waukesha School District opened enrollment for eAchieve Academy’s 2026-27 school year on Mar. 23, and registration will remain open until Apr. 30 (the district highlights student mental health and varied learning programs). Waukesha Times
- ➤ On Mar. 26, Maple Avenue Elementary School hosted a STEAM event in which students built an indoor mini-golf course, using their designs to donate nonperishable food items to Sussex Outreach Services — Menards in Pewaukee supplied building materials. The Waukesha Freeman
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ WisDOT is set to rehabilitate Capitol Drive from east of Brookfield Road to I-41 starting early April and continuing through late fall, which will improve a key travel corridor for local residents & businesses. Waukesha Times

- ➤ In 2025, home values in Waukesha County reached a median price of $420,000—$20,000 higher than in 2024—with 10,619 homes sold, a 7% increase over last year, according to BlockShopper.com. Waukesha Times
