ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Owen Briggs, a junior at Hamilton High School, died Tuesday afternoon when his car left the roadway and struck a tree at the intersection of Lannon and Lisbon roads in Menomonee Falls—police said speed likely was a factor. TMJ-4
- ➤ Police investigated a fatal crash in Menomonee Falls on April 1st when a vehicle traveling north on Lannon Road left the road and struck a tree at 3:35 p.m.—the vehicle caught fire and Hamilton High School junior Owen Briggs died while a memorial has begun to form at the crash site. CBS58
- ➤ A person died in a single-car accident in Menomonee Falls when a 2007 Toyota Corolla left Lannon Road at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday, struck a tree and caught fire, officials said — speed is believed to be a factor. Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Voters in the Arrowhead Union High School District rejected a $136.2M plan to renovate the north building and remove the aging south building last night — 63% voted no. The district said it will continue to maintain current facilities while noting that significant repair needs remain unresolved. FOX6
- ➤ Waukesha School District had the highest county enrollment in the 2023-24 school year by welcoming 11,318 students, as reported by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction — Elmbrook and Hamilton followed with 7,863 and 5,119 students respectively. Waukesha Times
