- ➤ William 'Bill' Oliver Jr. led Waukesha’s parks and recreation for 33 years until his death on March 19, leaving a lasting legacy marked by a youth sports complex named in his honor and a key to the city at his retirement. The Waukesha Freeman
- ➤ This weekend, families can join Easter events including Glow Skate at Eble Ice Arena Friday night in Brookfield and egg hunts at the YMCA, Okauchee Lions Park and Marx Park Saturday (online tickets required). - ➤ Waukesha residents can drop off yard waste, recyclables and garbage at 750 Sentry Drive; the center now offers Wednesday hours from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. until November and Saturday service from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.—fees have increased from $10 for a sedan to $100 for bulky items with new credit card and tap-to-pay options.
