- ➤ A 50-year-old Menomonee Falls man was sentenced to 25 years in prison for a fatal crash in a Pewaukee construction zone on Capitol Drive when he blacked out during an epileptic seizure—two people died in the crash. Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ After a two-day recount ended April 11, Morgan Henning kept her seat on the Hartland-Lakeside School Board by one vote (1,957 to 1,956) after over 12,000 ballots were hand counted from Hartland, Delafield, and Merton. Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
- ➤ Election officials in Hartland are recounting 12,000 ballots by hand for a tight school board race after Morgan Henning won her seat by just ten votes on Election Day. Henning’s lead narrowed to two votes by Friday afternoon (the recount is still ongoing), and final results are expected soon. FOX6
- ➤ Luke Spielman (principal at Park View Middle School) was named Middle School Principal of the Year by the Association of Wisconsin School Administrators on April 11. He led changes to the school schedule and set aside time for teacher collaboration that boosted student outcomes. FOX6
