  • In fiscal year 2025, Sussex business owners paid a median tax rate of 0.9 percent of property value, ranking seventh-lowest in Waukesha County according to BlockShopper.com (a 1.1 percent county median is reported). The data shows Sussex's burden is lower than in other municipalities such as Muskego.  Waukesha Times

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • In fiscal 2025, Vernon posted the county's lowest median commercial property tax rate at 0.4%, well below the overall median of 1.1% reported by BlockShopper.com for the 23 local municipalities.  Waukesha Times
  • Dousman reported a 2.4% median commercial property tax rate for FY 2025, topping a county median of 1.1% and rising from 1.8% in FY 2024, per BlockShopper.com.  Waukesha Times

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Muskego reported a median commercial property tax rate of 0.9% for FY 2025, ranking seventh in Waukesha County and 0.2% below the county average (BlockShopper.com data).  Waukesha Times
  • Lannon reported a 1% median commercial property tax rate for fiscal year 2025, ranking 11th in the county — the rate is 0.1 percentage point lower than the county's overall median.  Waukesha Times
  • In fiscal year 2025, Oconomowoc Lake had a median commercial property tax rate of 1%, which was 0.1% below the county average and ranked it 13th among 23 municipalities. Information came from BlockShopper.com.  Waukesha Times
