The new Lapham Lodge at Lapham Peak will open on May 17 at 10 a.m. in Delafield with a 5000 square feet space featuring a fireplace, multipurpose room and covered patio overlooking the trailhead — the building will later be turned over to the state parks system.

A Waukesha County senior group, Learning in Retirement of Waukesha County Inc., is offering 30 classes a season from the basement of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Hartland to help curb loneliness and depression among seniors by adding members and encouraging learning.
