- ➤ The School District of Waukesha partnered with Second Life Mac on Apr. 14 to offer a sale of pre-owned Apple devices for the school community, with restocks continuing through June 30 to help students and families access affordable tech. Waukesha Times
- ➤ Jim Nowak, an alumnus of WCTC (with experience at Greenfield High and Milwaukee Public Schools), was named dean of the School of Applied Technologies at WCTC at the start of the 2025–26 academic year. - ➤ The Elmbrook School Board (4-3 vote) approved revised start and end times for the 2027-2028 school year, with high school now beginning and ending earlier while elementary and middle schools shift later to better support student sleep needs amid ongoing community review. The Waukesha Freeman
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A new faith-based grief support program for children and teens will begin Sept. 28 at Waukesha Church of Christ. The free program will hold 24 weekly sessions throughout the school year to offer emotionally and spiritually guided activities (and include meals and childcare options) to help families cope with loss.
