ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A Dousman man aged 37 was killed Monday morning in an industrial accident at a New Berlin business on West Lincoln Avenue—police and state officials confirmed he was an employee and the investigation is ongoing.  TMJ-4

CRIME NEWS

  • Morgan Geyser, one of two convicted in a decade-old Slender Man stabbing, appeared in court Monday, April 28 to have his conditional release plan reviewed — doctors noted he no longer hears voices and has been off anti-psychotic medications.  FOX6
  • A judge delayed Morgan Geyser’s release from a mental health facility after learning her planned move would place her within eight miles of her victim — Payton Leutner — and ordered officials to find a new group home with another hearing set for June.  TMJ-4
  • On Monday, April 21, Sarah Gray, co-owner of Pewaukee Tattoo Parlor that welcomes a diverse range of customers, received an anonymous letter with Pride flags arranged like a swastika + she reported the incident to Pewaukee police and installed new security cameras while vowing to keep her shop a safe space.  TMJ-4

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • In 2024, 32 companies in cities of Waukesha County received 34 FDA inspections — a 10.3% increase from 2023’s 29 inspections. Most of the inspected companies work in Food and Cosmetics while six were advised to take voluntary corrective action.  Waukesha Times
