  • A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash on Capitol Drive near Brookfield around 5:30 p.m.+ police said his bike hit a dump truck turning at 128th Street, which forced the closure of all lanes from North 124th to North 133rd for about two hours.  TMJ-4

CRIME NEWS

  • Oconomowoc police shot a federally protected sandhill crane on April 28 after it repeatedly damaged a resident's property on South Maple Street—USDA-Wildlife Services confirmed the permit and a DNR game bird ecologist said the bird would likely have stayed because relocation is usually ineffective.  Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

  • Cornerstone Development proposed a new mixed-housing project called The Glen of Pewaukee on a 58-acre site in the Springdale Estates area, offering 90 condos and 48 single-family homes with a clubhouse — pool and pickleball courts.
