- ➤ Three local moms from Oconomowoc organized a free event called Love Your Belly to support new and expecting mothers in Southeast Wisconsin. The event runs Saturday, May 10 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at 1300 Summit Ave.—the first 50 guests will receive swag bags. TMJ-4

- ➤ An Elm Grove couple opened Wine Down at 13390 Watertown Plank Road, where they serve wine flights of four 2 ounce pours named after local streets and host book clubs and private parties. The owners plan to add outdoor seating pending village approval— they will hold an immersive wine tasting on May 31 at 2 p.m. for $99 plus gratuity. Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
- ➤ Oconomowoc officials approved key items—such as a certified survey map, a plan amendment resolution and an ordinance for commercial use—to advance plans for a new Costco on a 23-acre lot near Sawyer Road and Pabst Farms Boulevard. - ➤ Nikita Casap, the teen charged in connection with the deaths of his mother and stepfather in the Village of Waukesha, pleaded not guilty on May 7—he now awaits legal proceedings. FOX6
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A construction project is rerouting Silvernail Road to support a shift of runways 10 and 28 at the airport, which will add 400 feet to the west end in 2026—improving safety for pilots, passengers and the community.
