- ➤ Rescued beagles will begin arriving in Waukesha and Washington counties during the week of May 11. HAWS and the Washington County Humane Society will provide thorough care and work with veteran foster homes to ensure the dogs are ready for adoption. The Waukesha Freeman
- ➤ Downtown businesses in Oconomowoc are supporting Roots Coffeebar and Café owner Hilary De Vries after her husband Kaleb died from an undiagnosed cardiac episode on April 24 (neighbors are offering prayers and community support to help her family during this difficult time). The Waukesha Freeman
- ➤ Paintings for Pediatrics will hold the Tournament of Champions fundraiser on May 16 and 17 at 11 a.m. at Cue Club of Wisconsin, featuring games such as billiards, poker and foosball to support families facing pediatric cancer. - ➤ The Waukesha School District Student Services Committee began reviewing a random drug testing policy for high school athletes, co-curricular participants and parking permit holders last Tuesday. Students who test positive will not face suspension, though non-athletes may lose parking privileges for nine weeks. The Waukesha Freeman
