- ➤ The Humane Animal Welfare Society in Waukesha has lowered adult dog adoption fees this weekend to free shelter space before receiving up to 25 beagles from Ridglan Farms next week — the beagles will need extra care as they adjust to home life. FOX6

- ➤ Drivers at the intersection of highways I and LO in the Town of Mukwonago must come to a full stop from all directions after work is completed on May 20—county message boards have already posted signs to alert motorists. The Waukesha Freeman

- ➤ St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church & School in Oconomowoc will host a blood drive on May 16 from 7:30 a.m. to noon at the school entry at 1650 Brown St (donations support local patients with Versiti). REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ After receiving conditional PUD approval, developer Eric Weishaar will break ground this summer for a $175 million athletic complex in Big Bend featuring 20 fields and a fieldhouse (pending remaining permits and local concerns).
