- ➤ At a recent Genesee Town Board meeting, officials honored longtime chairwoman Sharon Leair with a proclamation and key as she retired after 44 years on the board, including 32 years as chairman. Leair helped build a new town hall, preserve historic sites, and change local zoning rules, and she said she will stay involved by attending future town meetings—her decades of service guided many local projects.
