COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Residents in Pewaukee voiced opposition at the Plan Commission meeting last Thursday against the Willow Run mixed-use development on the former Pewaukee Golf Club site because new access on Milkweed Lane and Fieldhack Drive could worsen traffic and safety hazards. A petition with nearly 200 signatures supported the concerns—while the commission recommended approval of the master plan and rezoning applications and tabled the site and building review details.  The Waukesha Freeman
  • On Tuesday morning, a local church member was detained by ICE as he left for work, and his community held a prayer vigil at Ascension Lutheran Church after learning of his detention. The man, originally from El Salvador, was later released with ankle monitoring, and church members shared their concerns about his uncertain future.  TMJ-4
