In 2022, government data showed Waukesha County residents received an average of $4,987 per person from Social Security transfers, which made up 5.7% of total income (Medicare and Medicaid provided $3,013 and $865 per person respectively); Social Security was the largest government transfer program in the county (data from the Economic Innovation Group).

According to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, 76.2% of the 58,602 students in Waukesha County school districts during the 2024-25 school year were white — Hispanic students made up 10.2% of the population.

Enrollment dropped by 1.4% from last year — a slight decrease in student numbers.

At the U15 Pan American Championships in Menomonee Falls, 12-year-old Julianna LaSavage won gold in the 33 kg division and became a national champion — she will train and compete at an international wrestling camp in Italy next.
