- ➤ Sussex Village Board approved an $8.98M plan for a five-field baseball and softball complex at Village Park in Sussex after months of study and public input. The project will see document development this summer, with bidding starting in January 2027 and construction planned for spring next year for an opening in 2028. The Waukesha Freeman

- ➤ Discover Brookfield has announced a new shuttle service for Summerfest, offering round-trip rides for guests staying in select Brookfield hotels (June 19-20, June 26-27, and July 3-4); tickets to the festival must be purchased separately, and shuttle times are available on a first-come, first-served basis. - ➤ Catholic Memorial High School has been named a Project Lead the Way Distinguished School for the ninth consecutive year for its strong STEM education (one of only 14 schools statewide to earn the honor), showcasing courses in computer science, biomedical science and engineering.
