The Hartland Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed Lake Country Dance as a new member at a ribbon-cutting held at its Hartland location on James Drive Suite I (the studio has served dancers from 18 months to 18 years for over five years).
Starting Oct. 6, the former Magee Elementary building will open as a community center offering pre-elementary drop-off sessions and literacy programs for local families—while the district expects to save about $1.9 million a year and most Magee students will enroll in nearby schools for the new school year.

The joint Village of Waukesha Plan Commission and Village Board will consider a proposed crematorium at S16W22295 Arcadian Ave today at 6:30 p.m. at a meeting on W250-S3567 Center Road (the project would provide licensed cremation services for local residents and support nearby businesses).
