The Bridges Library System invites everyone to join the free Tracks in the Stacks Bigfoot Hunt at its 24 libraries in Jefferson and Waukesha counties until Aug.
21. Participants can collect footprint stamps and enter for a chance to win one of twelve $50 gift cards.
On May 22, Waukesha North High School held its second annual Service Learning Day when over 600 students and 60 staff volunteered at 40 local sites.
The event featured service learning and college and career initiatives that encouraged ongoing community involvement.
The Town of Merton adopted new boating regulations banning artificial wake enhancements on Moose Lake and Lake Keesus to protect shoreline, water quality and boat safety.
Officials said the rules, approved after a May 4 hearing (posted June 10), will be enforced by local patrol and law enforcement.
Today, Delafield hosts Ladies Night Out at 6 p.m. and downtown presents Friday Night Live from 6 to 9 p.m. Oconomowoc features Bands at the Beach from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Upcoming Saturday and Sunday events include music festivals, family activities, and historical open houses (local attractions) nearby.
