EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Kettle Moraine School Board voted unanimously on June 11 to close Magee Elementary due to declining enrollment and a projected budget deficit — the school is set to close in fall 2026. • The School District of Waukesha unveiled four options on Wednesday night to change school layouts and cut capacity by 10% to 22% as student numbers have dropped by about 2% each year. The plans — which call for school closings, new grade groupings and moving programs — will be discussed in input sessions at the Blair Administration Building as the process continues through the end of 2025.  The Waukesha Freeman
