- ➤ More than 1,000 numbered rubber ducks remain available for adoption for the Pewaukee River Duck Race scheduled for July 4 at 4 p.m. after the downtown parade—10 ducks will win cash prizes including a top prize of $500, with proceeds supporting local parks and recreation programs. - ➤ Waukesha teen Ronnie Fuentez (17) is facing a felony murder charge after he punched his uncle on Feb. 1 during an argument at their home, which led his uncle to suffer a brain bleed, go into intensive care, and later die, and he is set to appear in court on July 28. FOX6

- ➤ AAA predicts that 44,000 more Wisconsinites will travel during the July 4 holiday week, a 2.8% increase from last year, with more than 1.47 million expected to drive and 59,000 to fly domestically + 100,181 to take buses, trains or cruises. The Waukesha Freeman
- ➤ HSA Commercial Real Estate began construction on a 226,321-square-foot industrial warehouse in Pabst Farms Tuesday — the Class A facility is set to be completed in the fourth quarter and is already available for lease. The Waukesha Freeman

- ➤ Parents from Bethesda Elementary in Waukesha have expressed concern over the school district's enrollment data that supports plans to close the school in one of four consolidation proposals. Two local fathers found an 11-percent gap between district figures and a city housing study and will ask the school board to slow the process. TMJ-4

- ➤ On Tuesday, a divided Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled that the DNR can enforce the state’s Spills Law without a rule‐making process to list each forever chemical, reversing earlier court rulings.
