- ➤ During a family hike at Paradise Springs, 7-year-old Charly Grall-Kahn injured her hand when a thrown rock slipped and a stranger with a trauma kit helped slow the bleeding. - ➤ A motorcyclist died June 25 after losing control on I-94 near Elmhurst Road in the Town of Delafield as lanes were shut down for over two hours while the Wisconsin State Patrol and local agencies responded (preliminary reports did not reveal the cause or identify the motorcyclist). - ➤ Waukesha teen Ronnie Kasey Fuentez now faces a felony murder charge after a domestic battery fight on February 1st in his apartment on Delafield Street led to his uncle's death on February 17th from brain injuries—he remains in custody with a new court status hearing set for July 28 after a May 29 review. - ➤ Myisha Honeycutt, 38, the mother of a teen convicted in a 2021 carjacking outside the library, was charged Friday with multiple drug trafficking offenses including three counts of delivering fentanyl and set with a $1,200 cash bond—she also faces battery and disorderly conduct charges from a jail altercation with a $150 bond and has her next court date on Monday. - ➤ A survey by the Wisconsin Farm Bureau shows that a traditional Fourth of July cookout meal in Wisconsin will cost about 4% more this year. The study of 12 common food items for 10 people shows a total cost of $69.03 (about $7 per person) as higher protein prices and inflation contribute to the increase. The Waukesha Freeman

- ➤ Carroll University held a ceremony on June 26 when a peace pole —May Peace Prevail on Earth— was unveiled on campus as a gift from the World Affairs Seminar to promote unity. A certificate showed that 10 trees were planted in Africa as part of the project. FOX6

- ➤ We Energies announced it will extend coal use at its Oak Creek plant until 2026 to meet high energy demand, a delay from its planned retirement last year. - ➤ Congressman Scott Fitzgerald introduced the Expanding Access to Lending Options Act today, which may let credit unions offer loans up to 20 years and extend home loan terms to 30 years — a change aimed at easing high living costs for families and small businesses.
