  • More than 30 graduates from the Pius XI High School Class of 1968 met at a Lake Country DockHounds game Monday night to celebrate turning 75. The group shared stories and cheered baseball—showing deep ties among friends—while organizers called the reunion a milestone event.  TMJ-4

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A crash on Monday afternoon at 3:18 p.m. on I-94 near Maple Avenue caused downed power lines that closed both directions of the highway between WIS 83 in Delafield and County SS Prospect Avenue in Pewaukee—one person was sent to the hospital with minor injuries.  The Waukesha Freeman

  • GE HealthCare announced a $100 million investment in its Waukesha campus to boost advanced manufacturing and medical technology—Amanda Payne, President and CEO of the Waukesha County Business Alliance, said the project will create new opportunities for the local community.  Waukesha Times

CRIME NEWS

  • Oconomowoc police say a hit-and-run crash left a tractor driver seriously injured Monday at Allen Road and Orchard Circle when a black 2003-2014 Volvo ZC90 struck a Kubota tractor before fleeing near Concord and Allen roads—residents with home surveillance videos are asked to check their footage for the suspect vehicle.  The Waukesha Freeman

  • Three headliners will perform on the Miller Lite Main Stage at the Waukesha County Fair, offering country music and classic hard rock for local music lovers. The acts are set to kick off the event and bring a mix of styles that appeal to the community.  The Waukesha Freeman

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The bus shelter for Waukesha Metro Transit Routes 4 and 15 near Hope Center was removed after officials reported increasing issues with loitering, intoxication — and related disruptive behavior, prompting safety concerns.  The Waukesha Freeman
  • Waukesha's Common Council is meeting today to discuss potential short- and long-term safety improvements at the Sunset and Guthrie intersection—where a traffic study showed about 7,000 vehicles travel daily and neighbors remain divided following a late 2024 fatal crash that claimed a teenager's life.  FOX6

SPORTS NEWS

  • Peter Kussow, an 18-year-old Arrowhead High School graduate, was drafted by the New York Mets in the fourth round—No. 133 overall—and was the only Wisconsin prep pitcher invited to the combine among 322 prospects. He now must decide whether to join Louisville’s baseball program later this month or go pro after impressing scouts with his 97 mph fastball and standout slider.  TMJ-4
