- ➤ At a Town Board meeting on Tuesday, Delafield residents raised concerns about a neighbor’s frequent use of dirt bikes and go-karts on private property due to noise and safety issues—Town Chairman Edward Kranick confirmed that the activity, though allowed under current rules, has drawn multiple complaints and is under review with no ordinance changes scheduled. - ➤ Woodman's in Waukesha received city approval on July 23 for a new tunnel-style car wash—equipped with 14 vacuuming stations and six self-service fuel pumps—to be built on a new outlot at its Main Street entryway east of Les Paul Parkway. - ➤ Milwaukee barber Jessie Watkins filed a federal suit in Waukesha alleging that officers Jacob Roth and Matthew Clark racially profiled him during an April 17 traffic stop for a parking violation by detaining him for over 30 minutes—causing him physical discomfort, emotional pain, mental anguish and prompting his claim for punitive damages. - ➤ The Ordinance—License Committee in Waukesha will consider a proposal to change the city attorney from an elected to an appointed role at 6 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers, City Hall— a move prompted by a 2024 request from Alderwoman Beth Moltzan citing the benefits of continuity and expertise.
