ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Two motorcyclists were taken to a hospital from an accident on Monday evening on North Lake Road in Lac La Belle; one is in critical condition and the other is in serious condition (the road was closed for an extended period). The Waukesha Freeman

- ➤ Waukesha County Technical College will build a new virtual reality lab for its nursing program — it is supported by a two-year, $350,000 grant from the Wisconsin Technical College System Core Industry Grant. The Waukesha Freeman
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ A bald eagle did not complete its catch on Sunday when a largemouth bass fell free and local resident Albert Cutler used a hockey stick to dislodge the fish from his truck on Highway 16. He donated the bass to Wildlife in Need Center, which said the fish is expected to feed baby raccoons and turtles—turning an unusual event into a meal opportunity. The Waukesha Freeman

- ➤ Delafield — The Wisconsin Policy Forum finished a six-month project for Lake Country Fire & Rescue that helped fix disputes over the fire department's cost-sharing method among the seven local communities. The group studied formulas used elsewhere and held meetings with municipal leaders to agree on a new plan by May. The Waukesha Freeman
- ➤ Recreational ATV and UTV groups in Oconomowoc are working to close a loophole that lets vehicles registered in other states drive on Wisconsin roads and highways.
