- ➤ Spirit Halloween (affiliated with Spencer Gifts) will open pop-up stores in six suburban Milwaukee locations, including a store on Sunset Drive in Waukesha, to use vacant spaces that once held major brands; the seasonal shops will operate mostly in September and October with leases running from mid-July to mid-Nov. - ➤ Autumn Hill Academy, a planned charter school in Waukesha County, will not open this fall because enrollment fell far short of the required 168 students, leaving parents scrambling for alternative placements. School founder Maria Luther said the school expected 35 to 50 students and will hold a town hall meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Aug. 10 at N25W23050 Paul Road in Pewaukee, and she is concerned over losing a key grant that would cover costs already incurred. - ➤ The senior dining site at Oconomowoc Community Center will close on September 12 due to reduced federal funds, which will force seniors to access meals from other sites.
