- ➤ SteelTank Brewing in Oconomowoc paused its normal taproom hours and food truck operations on Tuesday as it begins a rebranding overhaul. The brewery continues brewing quality beer and will maintain contracting, distribution services and private taproom rentals—while preparing a refreshed brand identity and new product lineup. - ➤ Morgan Geyser’s conditional release remains on hold after a Sun Prairie group home rescinded its offer—her attorney Tony Cotton said this setback delays her release, which was scheduled for Aug. 4, and forces officials to reconsider her placement. The Waukesha Freeman
- ➤ An 18-year-old man named Noah J. Richardson was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court after refusing to leave a stranger’s car—he was on bail for another case. The Waukesha Freeman
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The UWM School of Continuing Education will partner with the Waukesha County Business Alliance to offer three new in-person professional development courses in Waukesha County this fall. The courses include Spanish Language Skills for Manufacturers from Sept. 15-17, Estimating, Scheduling and Managing Project Performance from Sept. 23-24, and Advanced Reliability Practices for Improving Manufacturing Equipment Performance from Oct. 14-15 — a move that brings hands-on learning closer to local residents. - ➤ The School District of Waukesha is considering a rule to ban political campaigning on school property—this rule will keep district resources and campaign materials off school grounds.
