- ➤ The Kettle Moraine School District announced new elementary boundaries for the 2026-27 school year and closed Magee Elementary due to a drop in enrollment—prompting the board to move KM Explore to Dousman Elementary, maintain current transit times with Dousman Transport, and provide busing for families. Tony Evers requested FEMA support to assess storm damage after severe storms and flooding began on August 9—his administration and local emergency teams, including the National Guard, are coordinating assessments and aid efforts as a state of emergency has been declared. - ➤ Waukesha officials reported that the city’s water system handled the Aug. 9-10 flooding well because it uses Milwaukee-supplied water that meets all quality standards, and the new booster station is placed in a safer area.
