On Aug. 30, the Mukwonago Historical and Museum Society will show Native American techniques at the Red Brick Museum grounds (103 Main St.) from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Nonagenarian Donald Clarke will demonstrate hide tanning, cord making, basket weaving and fire starting, and seating is limited.
🏛️ Government
A section of Highway E in the Town of Merton remains closed while Waukesha County begins emergency repairs on a nearly 95-year-old culvert box Monday, with detour signs directing traffic via highways VV, 83 + Q.
Officials expect the road to reopen Sept. 14 if weather permits.
