Waukesha police arrested a suspect in connection with an armed robbery at the Dollar General at 139 E.
Broadway just before 12 p.m. Friday—technology located and stopped the vehicle near Summit and Brentwood where a knife matching witness descriptions was recovered, and the suspect remains in custody.
Waukesha police charged 30‐year‐old Desiree Ward with multiple felonies and misdemeanors after she led officers on a chase that ended with her car stuck on train tracks as a train neared—she is held on a $30,000 cash bond and will appear in court on Monday.
Waukesha officials approved an $87,500 budget to maintain the Parade Memorial for future use (the funds will support necessary repairs).
State Rep. Scott Allen was endorsed for mayor by former Sheriff Arnold Moncada and Sheriff Eric Severson on Thursday at a meeting at Dady-Oh’s Restaurant in downtown Waukesha—Allen announced his bid in May for the April 2026 election.
