EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Stone Bank School District enrolled 241 students in the 2024-25 school year, 15.4% fewer than last year. The enrollment was 50.2% boys and 49.8% girls—97.5% white, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Waukesha Times
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Residents in Waukesha County can report flood damage by calling 211 or 877-947-2211 or by submitting information online to help officials estimate overall losses and qualify for federal disaster aid. Brookfield’s recycle center returns to regular hours today, operating from 1 pm to 7 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 8 am to 5 pm on Saturdays, but it will stop accepting flood debris after August 30 — residents with five or fewer containers should use regular trash collection while larger items require special disposal.
