Sixteen military veterans from Capri Communities enjoyed a free 15- to 20-minute flight aboard a historic Boeing Stearman open-cockpit biplane at Waukesha County Airport on 2525 Aviation Drive this morning, organized by nonprofit Dream Flights; veterans representing all four military branches received gifts from Quilts of Honor.
🏛️ Government
Oconomowoc officials approved updated ordinances that let bikes and scooters use residential sidewalks while requiring riders to walk them downtown; a second reading is set in two weeks to gather more feedback (the changes also ban trick riding and riding two abreast outside parades).
🏥 Health
On Tuesday, Oconomowoc officials issued a water advisory after testing 32 samples, with 4 showing slightly elevated lead levels in older homes with lead laterals.
Residents are advised to run their taps for 3 minutes before using the water for drinking or cooking.
