- ➤ Milwaukee Tool plans a $42 million expansion in Menomonee Falls that will create 300 high-skill jobs and boost local support as it receives $4.5 million in performance tax credits from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation — the project timeline is still being worked out. FOX6
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On Tuesday, a student at Prairie View Elementary found a bullet projectile on the playground that had been fired from a different location—North Prairie police say there is no threat as the bullet was promptly turned over to staff while the investigation continues. The Waukesha Freeman
- ➤ Brookfield Police are asking the public for help finding Jason Anderson (49), who was last seen on September 2 near 128th and Capitol in Brookfield and is described as a white male roughly 5’10 tall and 200 pounds with brown hair and eyes, wearing black sweatpants, blue sneakers and a white T-shirt while carrying a black sweatshirt. - ➤ Brookfield police are searching for 49-year-old Jason Anderson, a white man with brown hair and brown eyes who was last seen near 128th Street and Capitol Drive on Sept. 2—he wore black sweatpants, blue sneakers, and a white T-shirt with a black sweatshirt. TMJ-4
- ➤ Darrell Brooks, representing himself, was granted his 10th appeal extension (to file his appeal by October 29) by the Wisconsin Court of Appeals in his case stemming from the 2021 Christmas Parade tragedy (which resulted in six deaths and more than 60 injuries) as he remains incarcerated to serve consecutive life sentences. - ➤ Waukesha police say 43-year-old Michael J. Freed faces multiple misdemeanor charges after he allegedly used a 3 in spring assisted knife during a fight outside Hope Center on Monday—he resisted arrest and was subdued with a Taser after a hospital visit for a left hand injury. The Waukesha Freeman
- ➤ A Big Bend officer on Aug. 27 stopped two motorcyclists near Clark Street and Ramona Avenue for a traffic rule break but only one rider obeyed while the other fled and was later identified from pictures and arrested at a DockHounds ball game — he faces charges for THC possession, second degree reckless endangerment, and fleeing an officer while the other rider received a citation.
