  • A new beer and wine bar named Pub Summit will open inside a BP gas station in Oconomowoc this fall. The 751-square-foot bar will have its own entrance (separated from the retail liquor space) and will serve pre-made bar food along with beer and wine daily from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m.  Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

CRIME NEWS

  • Former Milwaukee Tool IT worker Mathew Yang is accused of stealing $1.3 million in tools by creating and deleting 115 orders, and he pleaded not guilty on Monday (after posting a $50,000 bond).  FOX6

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Beverly Anderson of Ebenezer Child Care Centers warned that new state rules—raising the teacher-to-child ratio from one per four to one per seven for toddlers aged 18 to 30 months and allowing 16-year-olds to work—could undermine care quality in local centers. Leslie Hundt, a 30-year veteran teacher, added that families already face long wait lists and high costs for child care in Waukesha.  TMJ-4
