On Friday, Sept. 11, Ken Walter of Wind-Dancer Balloon Promotions flew a hot air balloon above Waukesha carrying an American flag in tribute on the 25th anniversary of Sept.
11, launching near Catholic Memorial High School with two veterans on board and sharing personal memories.
🎭 Culture
On Oct. 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the Waukesha County Museum will host its History After Dark series at North Pillar Brewing Co. (212 E.
North St.) as guest presenter Joshua Driscoll explains ancient and medieval German beer.
🎓 Education
The School District of Waukesha is hosting a ribbon-cutting and open house on Tuesday at 2:45 p.m. for Crosspoint Academy (a new specialized public school for grades 9-12 offering recovery support) at the former STEM Saratoga campus, 130 Walton Ave.
🏛️ Government
A segment of Highway E between Highways Q and VV in Merton is closed for emergency repair of its 95-year-old culvert.
Waukesha County works with Zenith Tech (and Cedar Corporation and the Natural Resources Department) to complete repairs next week while detour signage directs drivers away.
