The Ewald Family Foundation donated $1 million to support Family Promise’s Building Hope Campaign for a 10-unit temporary housing facility.
The facility (including two studio, six two-bedroom and two three-bedroom apartments) will expand services to help local families experiencing homelessness.
Templeton Middle School held teambuilding sessions for seventh graders from Sept.
8-11 in Sussex to help them build connections outside the classroom. Staff and parent volunteers led challenges in which every student participated + gained communication skills.
Brookfield Academy announced its $12-million Soar With the Stars: Act II capital campaign to improve learning and student spaces such as a new 6,500-sqft Arts & Academics venue and expanded labs and gymnasium.
The project supports growth and enhances personal attention for students across all levels.
Montessori School of Waukesha will celebrate its new addition with a ribbon-cutting event on Friday at 4 p.m. at 2600 Summit Ave (the project adds 14,000 sqft of new space, renovated classrooms, and a 6,000 sqft gym for school and community events).
Waukesha County school districts warned parents that students have been bringing caffeine pouches to school.
Officials from North Middle School and Pewaukee district note these pouches may contain as much caffeine as two cups of coffee and urge parents to check backpacks and discuss the risks.
