ACCIDENTS NEWS

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Arrowhead Union High School started using a digital hall pass system called ePass that limits students to only seven passes a week, and students say the cap interferes with basic needs during 90-minute classes. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The City of Brookfield is hosting a Disaster Recovery Center to help residents affected by August flooding apply for assistance. It will operate from October 1 to 4 and again from October 6 to 11 between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.—except on October 6 when it closes at 4:00 p.m.—and centers in Butler and Muskego will also be available.  Waukesha Times
  • State Rep. Adam Neylon (R-Pewaukee) introduced bipartisan legislation called the Crypto Clarity and Innovation Act to provide legal clarity and protections for cryptocurrency users and businesses. • Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow said the proposed $389.2 million 2026 budget reflects tough cuts — driven by hard choices, some luck, and a focus on public safety, and officials expect that some services may be reduced as leaders work to balance spending. This plan is part of ongoing efforts to manage county funds effectively.  The Waukesha Freeman

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Brookfield now has its first affordable housing complex—The Flats at Bishop’s Woods—designed to ease a critical workforce shortage; nearly all one-bedroom units are rented and residents will begin moving in at the end of October.
