- ➤ The Waukesha Knights of Columbus Council 1825 donated $5,000 in wood bunk bed building materials to Sleep in Heavenly Peace at its new facility on Duplainville Road in Pewaukee to help provide free beds for children without beds + support the nonprofit’s community volunteer efforts. - ➤ Waukesha County offers a busy weekend of events—last night the final Thursday Night Concert Series concluded at Nixon Park, and today The Four Guyz in Dinner Jackets start their 'Moments to Remember' show at Oconomowoc Arts Center at 7 p.m., with additional activities including a gala at the Expo Center on Saturday, a Halloween reading at Brookfield Public Library, HAWS Mobile’s Yappy Hour in Pewaukee, train rides from East Troy Railroad, and fall festivals in Genesee and Okauchee. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Every sheriff’s car in Waukesha County was fitted with fire suppression gear and defibrillators by the Wisconsin Masonic Foundation working with Fire Suppression Solutions and private donors. The equipment was officially presented on September 5 at the county sheriff’s headquarters—providing deputies with tools to address small fires and heart emergencies until paramedics arrive.
