- ➤ In 2024, employers in the Waukesha Times publication area filed H-2A petitions for seasonal agricultural work and all received approval from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Johnsons Nursery, LLC and Gwenyn Hill Farm, LLC led the filings with eight and four petitions respectively — a number that remained unchanged from 2023. Waukesha Times

- ➤ The YMCA at Pabst Farms will host a free mental health resource fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 4 — the event will offer family-friendly resources for mental, physical, and spiritual wellness. The Waukesha Freeman

- ➤ The Flats at Bishop's Woods at 350 Bishops Way is Brookfield’s first fully affordable apartment complex with 203 income-based units built using a state loan and housing tax credits. The property manager said many local workers have applied and the first tenants will move in on Oct. 24 (including options for 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom apartments) (rent ranges vary based on income).
