- ➤ Wisconsin lawmakers are looking at Assembly Bill 471—Crypto Clarity and Innovation Act—to allow cryptocurrency staking and stop local agencies from limiting its use. Supporters say the bill will let residents keep control of their digital money and help businesses grow. Waukesha Times
- ➤ Federal TSA employees and air traffic controllers are working without pay this weekend because of a government shutdown, and union chief Darrell English warned that many young workers may quit if the shutdown lasts long, which could lead to longer delays at airports. - ➤ High school football entered week 7 as teams competed on October 3 with matchups featuring Brookfield Central against Brookfield East, Arrowhead against Mukwonago, Shoreland Lutheran against Martin Luther, Whitnall versus Greenfield and Oconomowoc against Waukesha West — the games showed strong local competition.
