- ➤ After the county closed the Oconomowoc senior dining site on Sept. 12 due to low attendance and safety concerns, local officials and neighbors quickly organized weekly lunches at the Area Senior Center—an effort supported by a $12,500 allocation in the 2026 city budget. - ➤ The Brewer Company signed a lease for a 113,819-square-foot facility at Ridgewood Industrial Center — a new home that will combine its manufacturing and warehousing operations from two long-standing Menomonee Falls locations. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A bipartisan group of lawmakers and advocates met in Madison on October 15 to support Gail’s Law, a bill that would remove out-of-pocket costs for extra breast cancer screenings for high-risk women. Supporters said early detection may save lives (with more than half of states already having passed similar laws) and noted that nearly 6,000 Wisconsin residents are expected to be diagnosed this year (emphasizing the potential impact).
