  • The Crossings reopened under new owners Oscar Barrios and Nayeli Dominguez on Aug. 5 in Pewaukee with a refreshed interior and menu that mixes familiar breakfast dishes with trendy offerings—such as pancake tacos with Nutella and Mexican-inspired Ranchero Benny. They added a liquor license to serve drinks and plan to attract a younger crowd while focusing on a top-notch customer experience during operating hours from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.  The Waukesha Freeman

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Waukesha attorney Tony Cotton defended Alderman Rico Camacho after Camacho was fired from Catholic Memorial for posting false ICE information that sparked local backlash. Cotton said the school overreacted—Camacho apologized for his mistake and many local alumni voiced their disappointment.  The Waukesha Freeman
