- ➤ A Lisbon neighborhood installed new stop signs after two children were injured in a minibike crash two weeks ago at the intersection of Lynndale Lane and Willow Creek Drive in the Lynndale Farms subdivision, as residents had petitioned for safer measures and the village installed two-way stops last Friday (though a four-way control was hoped for) while reviewing additional measures. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Wisconsin became the 36th state to limit cellphone use in schools when Governor Tony Evers signed a bill on Friday that bans phone use during class time. The law will require schools to set a policy by July 1, 2026 — allowing exceptions for emergencies or health and learning needs — and received bipartisan support. The Waukesha Freeman

- ➤ The Delafield Plan Commission addressed the removal of a mature beech tree at a six-unit condominium development on Wells Street, noting that the tree was meant to be preserved and that an arborist had recommended protection measures that were not followed.
